The air cooler is a device that uses ambient air as the cooling medium and sweeps the outside of the finned tube to cool or condense the high-temperature process fluid in the tube. It is also referred to as "air cooler" or "air cooled heat exchanger".
Classification:
The air cooler can be divided into the following types due to its different structure, installation, cooling and ventilation modes;
According to the arrangement and installation form of the tube bundle, it is divided into horizontal air cooler and inclined top air cooler. The former is suitable for cooling, while the latter is suitable for various condensation cooling;
According to different cooling methods, it is divided into dry air cooler and wet air cooler. The former is cooled by continuous air supply of fan; The latter is to enhance heat transfer by means of water spray or atomization. The latter has higher cooling efficiency than the former, but it is easy to cause corrosion of the tube bundle and affect the service life of the air cooler, so it is not widely used.
